Ms. Shira Schiowitz

Ms. Shira Schiowitz is a Tanakh teacher and mentor. She spent most of her teaching years at Ma'ayanot Yeshiva High School and was one of the founders of Lamdeinu in Teaneck. Shira received her BA from Stern College and her MA in Bible from Bernard Revel Graduate School.

In response to the disruption caused by Covid-19, they wanted to think more deeply about the intersections between school, home and community and wondered what they could learn from this unusual moment in history about areas of potential alignment and tension between the values of school and home.
